PDF Sign by mcwix: Terms & Conditions
Last updated: October 14, 2026

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern the use of PDF Sign (the "App"), developed by McWIX ("we", "us"). By installing or using the App on a Wix site, you ("you", the "User") agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the App. Questions: office@mcwix.com.

1. What the App does

The App lets you send PDF documents for electronic signature from your Wix site. You upload a PDF, choose which details the signer fills in and where the details and the signature are placed, and send a signing link. The signer opens the link on your site, reviews the document, fills in their details and signs. The App then produces a signed PDF with a certificate page and keeps it on your site. A sample agreement is included so that you can try the App before uploading your own documents.

2. Your Wix account

The App runs on the Wix platform. Your use of Wix itself is governed by Wix's own terms and policies, which apply in addition to these Terms. We are an independent developer and are not part of Wix.

3. Electronic signatures and legal validity

• The App provides a simple electronic signature: a signature drawn by the signer, together with a record of the signer's details, IP address, browser, and the times the document was opened and signed. It is not a qualified or certificate-based digital signature, and the App does not verify the signer's identity beyond what you choose to ask for.
• Whether an electronic signature is valid or sufficient for a particular document depends on the laws of the relevant countries and on the type of document. Some documents may require a handwritten signature, a witness, a notary or a qualified electronic signature.
• You are solely responsible for deciding whether the App is suitable for each document you send and for its legal effect. We do not provide legal advice, and nothing in the App or in these Terms is legal advice.

4. Plans, free trial and payment

• Creating signing links requires a paid plan or an active free trial. Documents that were already signed remain available in your dashboard.
• A free trial, when offered, runs for the period shown on the App's pricing page. Unless you cancel before it ends, your paid subscription starts automatically when the trial ends.
• Prices, billing cycles and available plans are shown on the App's pricing page at the time of purchase.
• All payments, renewals, cancellations and refunds are handled by Wix under Wix's billing terms. We never receive or store your payment card details.
• You can cancel your subscription at any time in your Wix account. After cancellation, the paid features remain available until the end of the period you have already paid for.

We may change prices or plans for future billing periods. Changes do not affect a period you have already paid for.

5. Your documents and your signers' information

• The documents you upload, and the signed documents and information the App produces, are yours. We claim no ownership of them.
• The App keeps them on your own Wix site, in collections and private Media Manager files, through Wix's official APIs and with the permissions you grant at installation.
• You decide what your signers are asked for, including ID numbers and ID photos. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect this information, for informing your signers about it as the law requires, and for keeping, sharing and deleting it in accordance with the law that applies to you.
• You are responsible for sending signing links and access codes only to the intended signers, and for keeping your Wix account secure.
• You are responsible for keeping your own copies of signed documents. We recommend downloading them regularly.
• How the App handles information is described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:
• use the App for any unlawful purpose, to collect signatures by deception, or to send unlawful, misleading or infringing documents;
• use the App to impersonate another person or business;
• attempt to bypass plan limits, access controls or security measures of the App or of Wix;
• reverse engineer, copy, resell or redistribute the App, except where the law does not allow this restriction;
• interfere with the operation of the App or place an unreasonable load on it.

7. Intellectual property

The App, including its code, design, the sample agreement and documentation, belongs to McWIX and is protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the App on the Wix sites where it is installed, for as long as these Terms apply. The sample agreement is provided for trying the App only and is not a legal template.

8. Availability and changes to the App

We work to keep the App available and accurate, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors. The App depends on the Wix platform and its APIs, which are outside our control. We may update, change or remove features, and we will try to give reasonable notice of changes that significantly reduce what a paid plan includes.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and that a signature made with the App will be accepted as valid by any person, court or authority.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the App, including from a document or signature being found invalid, incomplete or unenforceable. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months before the event that gave rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

11. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by removing it from your site. We may suspend or end your access to the App if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms. When the App is removed, signing links stop working. Documents and records the App saved on your site are not deleted automatically; you can download or delete them before removing the App.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The "Last updated" date above shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we will make reasonable efforts to let Users know. Continuing to use the App after an update means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel. The competent courts in Tel Aviv, Israel have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute relating to these Terms or the App, unless applicable consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

PDF Sign by mcwix: Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 14, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how PDF Sign (the "App"), developed by McWIX ("we", "us"), handles information when a Wix site owner installs the App and when people sign documents through it. Questions: office@mcwix.com.

1. Who this applies to

• Users: the site owner and the collaborators they authorize, who upload documents, send them for signing and manage signed documents in the Wix dashboard.
• Signers: people who open a signing link that a User sent them, and fill in and sign a document.
• Visitors: other people who view the User's site. The App does nothing on pages that do not contain its signing screen.

2. Roles

The User decides which documents are sent, to whom, and which details Signers are asked for. For Signers' information, the User is the party responsible for it (the "controller"), and the App processes it on the User's behalf. The User is responsible for informing Signers how their information is used and for having a lawful basis to collect it.

3. What the App stores

Everything the App stores is kept on the User's own Wix site: records in collections the App creates on the site, and files in the site's Media Manager, saved as private files. We do not operate a separate database or file storage.

• Templates: the PDFs the User uploads, their titles, and the positions and settings the User chooses for them. A sample agreement with fictional content can be added by the User for trying the App.
• App settings: the company details, logo, stamp and authorized signatory that the User enters, and the App's options.
• Signing requests: for each link, the document, its status, the times it was sent, opened and signed, its expiry date, and an access code when the User protects the link with one.
• Signers' details: the details the template asks for, which may include full name, ID or passport number, phone, email, address, company and fields the User defines. A User may also fill in some of them ahead of time.
• Signatures and signed documents: the image of the Signer's signature and the signed PDF, which includes the details, the signature and a certificate page.
• ID photo: only when the User's template asks for one, a photo of the Signer's identity document. ID photos are deleted automatically after the retention period the User sets in the App's settings.
• Signing records: to document how a contract was signed, the App records the Signer's IP address, browser and device information (user agent), time zone, the time the Signer opened the document and the time they agreed to sign electronically, as well as events such as opening the link or entering a wrong access code. These records appear on the certificate page of the signed PDF, unless the User hides some of its rows in the settings.

4. Signers

When a Signer opens a signing link, their browser loads the document and the signing screen from the User's site and the App's server.

• The App asks Signers only for the details the User's template requires.
• The App sets no cookies and does not use the browser's local storage on the signing screen.
• The App does not track Signers or Visitors, build profiles or collect analytics about them.
• After signing, a Signer can download their signed copy once from the signing screen. Further copies are provided by the User.
• To display documents and print text in some languages (Japanese and Chinese), font and document-display files are loaded from a public content delivery network (jsDelivr). This request comes from the Signer's or User's browser, or from the App's server, and contains the standard technical information a browser sends, such as the IP address.

5. Sharing

We do not sell, rent or share User, Signer or Visitor information with third parties. The App does not send emails or messages. Signing links are shared by the User, for example by copying them or opening WhatsApp with a prepared message, and are then subject to the terms of the service the User chooses to send them with. Information is processed by Wix, as the platform that hosts both the User's site and the App.

6. Who can see the information

Signers' details, signatures, ID photos and signed documents are visible in the Wix dashboard to the site owner and to the collaborators the site owner has authorized. A signing link shows its document only to someone who has the link and, if the link is protected, the access code. After 10 wrong access codes in a row, a link is locked until the User sends it again.

7. Payments

Subscriptions and free trials are purchased and billed through Wix. We never receive or store payment card details.

8. Retention and deletion

• Signing requests, Signers' details, signatures and signed documents remain on the User's site until the User deletes them in the App's dashboard or deletes the site.
• ID photos are deleted automatically after the retention period the User sets, and can be deleted earlier by the User.
• Files in the Media Manager remain until the User deletes them. Removing the App stops all access by the App to the site's data, but it does not delete the files and records already saved on the site. A User who wants them deleted should delete them before or after removing the App.

9. Security

The App runs on Wix's infrastructure and communicates only over HTTPS. Documents and signatures are saved as private files that can be opened only through short-lived links. Managing documents and viewing signed contracts requires the Wix login of the site owner or an authorized collaborator. Signing links are long random tokens, can be protected with an access code, and expire after the period the User sets. A fingerprint (hash) of each document is recorded so that changes to it can be detected.

10. Rights of Users and Signers

Users can view, export and delete the information the App stores at any time in the App's dashboard. Signers who want to access, correct or delete their information should contact the User who sent them the document, since the User holds it and decides about it. We will assist Users in responding to such requests. For any other privacy request or question, contact office@mcwix.com.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date above shows the latest version.
