CMS Reports by mcwix: Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how CMS Reports (the "App"), developed by McWIX ("we", "us"), handles information when a Wix site owner installs and uses the App on their Wix site. Questions: office@mcwix.com.

1. Who this applies to

The App runs inside the Wix dashboard and is used only by the site owner and the collaborators they authorize ("Users"). The App adds nothing to the public website, so site visitors never interact with it.

2. What the App accesses

To build reports, the App reads, through Wix's official APIs and only with the permissions the User grants at installation:

• The structure of the site's CMS collections: collection names, field names and field types.

• Aggregated values computed from those collections: for example counts, sums, averages and groupings. These are calculated by Wix on request each time a report is viewed or printed.

• Business information from the site's settings: business name, logo, contact details, language and time zone. They pre-fill the report branding.

• The site's App plan, which determines the available features.

The App does not copy, export or store the contents of your CMS collection items.

3. What the App stores

The App stores the following only on the User's own Wix site, in collections created by the App:

• Saved report definitions: titles, layout and the query settings for each block. No item data.

• Report settings: branding overrides, brand color and default options.

• A monthly counter of AI questions used, for plan limits.

We do not operate a separate database. We do not use cookies, and we do not track site visitors.

4. Optional AI features

The App offers optional AI features: a report assistant that turns a question into a report, and written summaries. When a User uses them:

• The request is sent through Wix's AI service (Wix AI APIs) to an AI model provider (currently Anthropic).

• The request contains only the User's question, the structure of the site's collections (names, field names and types) and, for summaries, aggregated numbers already shown in the report. No individual CMS items or records are sent.

• The User can see the exact content sent to the AI in the App ("What was sent to the AI").

• AI output is a suggestion that the User can edit. The App computes all numbers itself; the AI never computes them.

• AI usage is billed by Wix to the site in AI credits, under Wix's terms.

5. Sharing

We do not sell, rent or share User data with third parties. Data is processed only by Wix, as the platform hosting the App, and by the AI provider through Wix when a User chooses to use an AI feature.

6. Payments

Subscriptions are purchased and billed through Wix. We never receive or store payment card details.

7. Retention and deletion

Saved reports and settings remain on the User's site until the User deletes them in the App. They are also removed when the site or the App collections are deleted. Uninstalling the App stops all access to the site's data.

8. Security

The App uses Wix's authentication and permission system and communicates only over HTTPS. Access to the App's dashboard requires the site owner's or an authorized collaborator's Wix login.

9. Your rights

Users can view, edit and delete their saved reports and settings at any time within the App. For any privacy request or question, contact office@mcwix.com.

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date above shows the latest version.
