Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how McWIX ("we", "us") handles information in connection with the Ads app for Wix websites (the "App"). It applies to Wix site owners who install the App ("you") and to visitors of sites that use it ("visitors").

1. Who is responsible

For information about your own site's ads (campaigns, ad content, placements and statistics), you, the site owner, decide what is stored and why, and McWIX processes it on your behalf. For questions about this policy, contact us at office@mcwix.com.

2. What information the App handles

2.1 Information you enter. The campaigns, ads (images, headlines, text, links, alt text), placements and settings you create in the App's dashboard. This information is stored in your own Wix site, in data collections that belong to the App, and is not copied to servers operated by McWIX.

2.2 Ad statistics. When an ad is shown or clicked on your site, the App increases daily counters of impressions and clicks per campaign, ad and placement. These counters are numbers only. They do not include names, email addresses, IP addresses or any other details that identify a visitor.

2.3 Information in the visitor's browser.

If the visitor has allowed analytics in your site's cookie banner, the App stores a short list of which campaigns were recently shown in that browser's local storage, so it can limit how often the same ad repeats (for example, no more than 3 times per day). Without that consent, nothing is stored for this purpose.
To show a pop-up or bar ad no more than the number of times you chose per visit, the App keeps a counter in the browser's session storage. It is deleted when the visitor closes the tab.
The App does not set its own cookies and does not track visitors across sites.

2.4 Technical information. To deliver an ad, the visitor's browser sends a request through Wix with the page address, the placement, and the browser's user agent. The App uses the user agent only at that moment to skip counting known bots, and does not store it.

2.5 AI campaign assistant. [PUBLISH ONLY WHEN THIS FEATURE SHIPS] If you use the AI assistant to draft a campaign, the text you type, together with the names of your existing placements, is sent through Wix's AI service (Wix AI APIs) to an AI model provider (currently Anthropic) to generate a suggested campaign. Visitor information and statistics are never sent. Nothing is saved until you review the suggestion and confirm it. Each request uses your site's Wix AI credits.

2.6 Billing. Subscriptions are purchased and billed through Wix. McWIX does not receive or store your payment details. Wix tells the App only whether your site has an active plan or trial.

3. How we use information

Only to run the App: to show your ads, count impressions and clicks, display your reports, limit repeat views and pop-up frequency, and check whether your plan is active. We do not sell information, and we do not use it for advertising of our own.

4. Sharing

We do not sell or share App information with third parties, except with Wix, which hosts the App and your site, and Wix's AI service for the AI assistant as described in section 2.5, or where the law requires it.

5. Retention and deletion

Your campaigns, ads and statistics stay in your site until you delete them in the App's dashboard. If you uninstall the App, Wix hides the App's data, and it may be deleted by Wix according to Wix's own policies. Information in a visitor's browser is short-lived: the session counter is deleted when the tab closes, and repeat-view entries older than 24 hours are discarded the next time the App runs. Visitors can also clear it at any time in their browser.

6. Your responsibilities as a site owner

You are responsible for your site's own privacy policy and cookie banner, and for telling your visitors that your site shows ads. The App respects the consent choices collected by Wix's cookie banner.

7. Children

The App is a business tool for site owners and is not directed to children.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete information about you. Site owners can view, edit and delete all App data directly in the dashboard. Visitors should contact the owner of the site they visited. You can also contact us at office@mcwix.com.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date above shows the latest version. Material changes will be announced in the App or on this page.

Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of the Ads app (the "App") provided by McWIX ("we", "us"). By installing or using the App you agree to these Terms. The Wix Terms of Use also apply to your use of Wix and the Wix App Market.

1. The service

The App lets you create and schedule ads, place them on your Wix site (banners, sidebars, pop-ups and sticky bars), and view impression and click statistics and reports.

2. Plans, trial and billing

The App requires a paid plan, offered with a free trial, as shown on the App's pricing page in the Wix App Market. Purchases, renewals, cancellations and refunds are handled by Wix under the Wix billing terms. When a plan ends, ads stop showing on your site, but your data stays in the dashboard.

3. Your content and responsibilities

You are solely responsible for the ads you publish with the App, including their images, text and links, and for making sure that they:

comply with applicable laws, including consumer protection, advertising disclosure and privacy laws;
do not infringe anyone's intellectual property or other rights;
are not misleading, offensive, malicious or harmful, and do not link to such content.

Ads are labelled "Sponsored" by default. If you change that label, you remain responsible for clearly disclosing advertising to your visitors where the law requires it.

You keep all rights to your content. You give us only the permission needed to store and display it on your site in order to run the App.

4. Statistics

Impression and click numbers are estimates. They exclude known bots, count an impression only when an ad was actually visible, and may differ from other analytics tools. Do not rely on them as the sole basis for billing third parties.

5. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the App: do not try to access other sites' data, interfere with the service, reverse engineer it, or use it to deliver malware or deceptive content. We may suspend use that breaks these Terms.

6. Availability and changes

We work to keep the App available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. If an ad cannot load in time, the App hides the empty slot so your page is not affected. We may improve, change or discontinue features and will give reasonable notice of material changes.

7. Disclaimer

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits or revenue. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Termination

You can stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your site. Cancelling the subscription is done through Wix.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel. The competent courts in Tel Aviv, Israel have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute relating to these Terms or the App, unless applicable consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
